Have you ever printed something important at home only to find that the printer only prints in a random pink color? How about if the printer ran out of ink halfway through the document? HP wants to prevent this with its home ink subscription, Instant Ink.

As more of us work from home, the need to be able to print documents at home has increased. In conjunction with the HP Smart app, Instant Ink notifies HP when the printer is almost empty and automatically sends the required ink directly to your door.

The new solution is a subscription-based model with plans starting at $ 1.99 per month, saving customers up to 50% on ink costs. The monthly plans are flexible and based on the number of pages you print at home (if you print less, you pay less). The ink cartridges that are delivered to your home are high volume cartridges that will last longer than standard cartridges. The empty cartridges can also be returned to HP for recycling to reduce your e-waste.

Paul Gracey, Director of Printing Systems for HP Australia and New Zealand said, “Our needs at home and in the office continue to change as we favor hybrid work and study, and this is driving demand for home printing. Immediate ink means that we will no longer experience the dreaded “ink emergencies” as the ink is delivered directly to our doors right before it leaks. Instant Ink offers a level of flexibility never before achieved in printing and we are proud to bring this to Australia. “

However, not all HP printers are eligible. To check that yours are eligible, visit the Instant Ink website. When customers sign up for the service with a new or old compatible printer, they receive a free two-month trial. There is no lock in contracts for the service where the customer can change or cancel their subscription at any time.

While Instant Ink is new to Australia, with over 9 million subscribers worldwide, it’s not new to the world. HP Australia has partnered with Manu Feildel, everyone’s favorite Masterchef judge, to promote the adoption of Instant Ink.

HP and Manu urge Aussies to share pictures of their cherished family recipes. Simply upload your recipe to Instagram using the @hpaustralia and @manufeildelofficial tags with #familyinkgredients #HPAustralia and share a reason why you want Manu to cook your family recipe. There are weekly Instant Ink freebies that bring a lucky winner to Sydney for Manu to cook his family recipe in his kitchen!
